Nice signals from Mexico at sunrise on the 6th November. This was the strongest one 1590 La Mexicana - I also got a nice ID from XEAI Radio Formula on 1470 kHz and 2 unids on 1500 kHz, one with Spanish talk and one with SS music offset 1499.84 which could be tent. Santa Rosa from Lima/Peru.

1310 WIBA - Madison

1310 kHz is a frequency where either CIWW in Ottawa or WLOB in Maine are clear dominants. However this morning TA conditions were further in land and I could log a personal first of WIBA, Madison - Wisconsin.

1566 kHz HLAZ FEBC- Cheju Korea 21.9.2012

Strong signals tonight from Korea - received on the K9AY antenna NE-SW.

Another Sporadic (late season) ES opening

Today was more like a mid-season TV Band I and OIRT Es opening. Several hours with persistent DX, with some very strong signals from Ukraine. More like this please! Mediumwave TA-DX can wait !!

Beside the strong R1 - TV Channels from Ukraine ( 1+1 and Inter ) this was seen

Between the channel R2 powerhouses I could log a personal first from Ukraine called STB/5-y-Kanal which is a low power station from Sinelnikove.

Sporadic (late season) ES with 1TV-Moscow

I was very surprised to see Sporadic E reception this morning. The "SP-E season" is usually well and truly over by this late in the summer, but here is a video I took this morning.

SDRSharp + RTL2832U - Studio Link from Italy

Late afternoon MUF raises up to around 70 mHz and the Es cloud lays in the right position to receive some STL's from Italy. This was heard - 50.75 mHz Lattemiele and on 53.00 en 55.00 mHz Radio Jonica.

Band 1 TV and OIRT open to Russia

Again a early start of Es this morning, started in Band 1 TV with good pics on Channel R1 from 1TV - Moscow and BT1 -Minsk/Belarus and on Channel R2 RTR from Novgorod (RUS).

Half way the morning the OIRT Band was open to Moscow area with several new stations heard such as Russkaya Sluzhba Novostey from Moscow on 69.26 mHz.
